The motocross world is abuzz with the arrival of the 2026 Kawasaki KX and the return of the Honda CR series, both set to redefine off-road racing. Priced at $10,999 in the U.S., the Kawasaki KX will be available in select European dealerships starting June 2027, reaching North America in July, and expanding globally thereafter.
Kawasaki is making a significant comeback with the KX two-stroke lineup, a move that has excited enthusiasts worldwide. After nearly two decades since the last two-stroke KX models, Kawasaki is bringing back the KX125 and KX250, combining modern technology with classic performance. The 2026 KX models will feature lightweight aluminum perimeter frames derived from the 2024 KX450, ensuring nimble handling and improved cornering performance. Additionally, Showa 48mm inverted coil-spring front forks with Kashima coating will provide smooth action and enhanced durability.
To celebrate 50 years of the KX brand, Kawasaki is offering special editions with unique graphics and color schemes, paying homage to its rich racing heritage.

Honda’s CR series, a staple in motocross history, is making a comeback. Originally produced from 1973 to 2007, the CR models were known for their dominance in various motocross classes. The 2026 CR lineup will reintroduce the CR250R and CR500R, featuring modernized designs and updated components to meet current racing standards.
The CR250R will be equipped with a revised aluminum frame and updated suspension geometry, enhancing stability and cornering performance. The CR500R will feature a more powerful engine and improved ergonomics, catering to riders seeking a more aggressive riding experience.
