Georgia Bulldogs Baseball Returns to NCAA Tournament with Regional Hosting Duties at Foley Field in…..

Georgia baseball is hosting an NCAA Regional for the second straight season.

The expected became official Sunday night May 25 when the 16 NCAA Tournament hosts were announced via social media.

The Bulldogs are 29-4 at Foley Field this season.

The entire 64-team tournament field will be announced on Monday, May 26 on a selection show at 12 p.m. ET on ESPN2. The four-team regionals will be held Friday May 30 through Monday June 2.

Georgia (42-15) is widely projected to be a top 8 national seed which would assure it would host an NCAA Super Regional the following weekend should it advance. D1 Baseball, Baseball America and the Tennessean all project the Bulldogs as a No. 6 seed

The eight super regional winners will play in the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.

Georgia went 3-0 in the Athens Regional last season, beating Army, UNC-Wilmington and finally Georgia Tech in 10 innings to advance to the Super Regionals where it lost in three games to N.C. State.
