
The precautionary boil water notice for west of Moylan Road to the Phillips Inlet Bridge has officially been rescinded. The water line repair was completed and the results of the bacteriological survey was satisfactory, showing the water is safe to drink.
Water Service restored – Precautionary Boil Water Notice in effect. Repairs have been successfully completed, and water pressure has been returned to normal in the affected areas from Moylan Rd to Phillips Inlet Bridge.
UPDATE: As of 1 p.m., water service has been temporarily shut off and is expected to be restored at approximately 3 p.m. The affected area has been expanded and now includes Moylan Rd west toward Richard Jackson Blvd, and continues to the Phillips Inlet Bridge.
PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WMBB) – Due to a water main break on Highway 79, water service will be temporarily interrupted in areas of Panama City Beach beginning at 11 a.m. on Friday.
According to a news release, the outage will affect all customers from Richard Jackson Boulevard extending west to Phillips Inlet.
Repairs are underway, and service is expected to be restored within approximately two hours, officials wrote.
Once service is restored, officials said a Boil Water Notice will be in effect for all impacted customers for the remainder of the weekend. Residents and businesses are advised to boil all water intended for consumption, such as drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, or washing dishes, until further notice.
City crews are working diligently to complete repairs and ensure water quality is fully restored.
