Man Dead After Police Shooting at Apartment Complex in Harvard Heights

A man was fatally shot by Los Angeles police officers late Tuesday night in the Harvard Heights neighborhood. The incident occurred around 10:40 p.m. near Ardmore Avenue and 11th Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).

Officers were responding to reports of gunshots near an apartment building when they encountered a man allegedly armed with a firearm. At some point during the interaction, officers opened fire, striking the suspect. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
