LOS ANGELES — A former manager of the legendary rock band Guns N’ Roses has made explosive claims about frontman Axl Rose, alleging that the singer now takes half of the band’s income and is determined to maintain total creative and financial control over the group.
In a recent interview, the ex-manager—whose name has not yet been disclosed—suggested that Rose has steadily centralized power over the band’s operations in recent years. “Axl wants to be in control of everything,” the former insider stated. “From finances to tour decisions, merchandise to setlists—he runs the show.”
The source also claimed that Rose currently receives 50 percent of all band revenues, a move that has allegedly caused tension behind the scenes.
Guns N’ Roses, formed in 1985, rose to fame with hits like Sweet Child O’ Mine, Welcome to the Jungle, and November Rain. Despite numerous lineup changes and internal disputes, the band continues to perform to sold-out arenas worldwide.
There has been no official response from Axl Rose or the band’s management regarding the allegations. However, fans and industry insiders are closely watching for further developments.
- This isn’t the first time issues of power dynamics and money have surfaced in the group’s long and tumultuous history. In the past, disagreements between Rose and former bandmates like Slash and Duff McKagan led to years of estrangement before their eventual reunion in 2016.
